Qb3

09Jul08

Laid out bare for all to see, Qb3’s portfolio reads as an undulating narrative of creative investigation. From art to architecture, industrial to graphic design and even some photography for good measure, this relatively-new studio takes a holistic approach to projects that’s both attractive and unique. In this comprehensive process, Qb3’s attention to the finest details isn’t skimped one bit, however, a quality I’m afraid is lost on many and replicated by few. Inspiring for sure, their masterful designs speak with clarity, grace and a healthy helping of innovation too.

The principals and crew that make up Qb3 are fiercely talented, and yet they still manage to entice and surprise yours truly with their newest venture, called [spot]. Graphically appropriate in all the right ways, [spot] invites Philadelphia artists and designers to claim the idle space between the bustling streets and sidewalks of the city: parking spots. Through a series of outdoor interventions, this smart-growth charette will “explore the potential dynamics of a momentary public space along South Broad Street” and make for a one fine site to see too, I’m certain. In typically-comprehensive Qb3 fashion, all design/arts disciplines are encouraged to submit entries and the competition is open to students, professionals, individuals and groups alike.

Sponsored by the Center City District and Philly Fun Guide, Qb3’s [spot] premieres where else but this Fall at the ever-insightful and innovative DesignPhiladelphia. Good times. :)

Qb3 - “kyoob’s” not “Q-B-3’s” super-slick but oh so easily navigable site with pics, links, inspiration and other whatnots

Hi. It’s my first time to visit some of my co wordpress bloger sites. So far yours caught my attention for an obvious reason, design. I’m a newcomer to art of blogging. Well I find your site quite interesting and it’s visually artistic, as well as simply modern.
