Greenstock Series
Quoted on their site, the AIGA simply describes their upcoming lecture series as “a succession of programs focusing on sustainability in design.” Just like a graphic designer to make it short, sweet and to the point… ;)
Please let me to elaborate: Consisting of three events en total (Local, National and Global), the first set hosts a veritable cornucopia of local design talent. A Green Retailer, Industrial Design Manufacturer, two Brand Identity firm Principals and even a Student-Led Project Futurist participate in a round table discussion on their work and how in the future they hope to positively-impact the world through sustainable practices… And that’s just part one of three, good god.
Might I also mention that it’s hosted at the Philadelphia Ethical society and sponsored by the American Institute of Graphic Arts. How multidisciplinary.

Special thanks to Marc Hummel of B Minus Designs who got my attention about these really quite interesting events. Also to the intriguingly-dubbed MooCatMooCat from Photos of Philadelphia. Always a pleasure viewing her photo(shop) work.
